My dad’s head nearly exploded earlier because I was singing “Lola” by the Kinks.
I was digging around in the pantry and singing “Lola” to myself and my dad recognized it.
Dad: Holy shit. I know that song. What song is that?
Me: “Lola” by the Kinks.
Dad:
YOU KNOW THE KINKS!?
Me:
Only a few songs, but…yeah?
Dad: Come here.
Me:
I used to run around the house as a tiny kid singing “Lola” it was my favorite song, it makes sense now.
